Hello All!
Just another update from the snowy Rockies! I thought I would let you all know about my first (and second) experience snowboarding as well as let you see the effects of the storm that you all just had up there. (Glad to hear that you are all safe and sound-looked awful in the news here!)
That storm hit us on Wednesday morning. I had just made it up to work (driving slow on my new tires) and the second I walked in the door, the snow really started falling. I was told that we would be able to leave by noon. Well my desk sits by two walls of windows and all I did was sit and stare at the snow that was quickly building up-not good. I actually started to make myself physically sick from stress and anxiety-I felt dizzy!! Anyway-I got in my car and made the looonnng drive home. It was like driving with a hangover in a completely white cloud-I couldn't see anything!!! When I finally made it home, I actually threw up-can you believe that?? I don't think I'm cut out for this yet. Matt made his way home from work and we just hibernated the rest of the night and all of today. (The picture is actually my car buried in the snow in front of a line of cars in our neighborhood.)
Larry loves the snow!As for the snowboarding- Matt and I headed up to Brekenridge so that I could take my snowboarding lessons. Matt dropped me off at the lesson and went off to ski the backcountry. I must say-it went much better than I thought it would. It sounds stupid but it was a lot slicker than I thought it would be-very slippery! I fell a few times but overall did very well. I actually just went out tonight and bought the whole setup! (Nothing like diving right in) Just say a prayer for me that I make it through the season without killing myself or breaking any body parts.
Due to all the skiing/snowboarding-we are behind on the work on our house which is why I have not posted pictures of that yet-those will be coming soon! We did get our guestroom setup while we were snowed in here so we're officially ready for all of you to come visit! More updates will come soon! I miss you all and keep the updates coming from your end-I like to read what's new with all of you.

Wow Megan, that is a lot of snow! It reminds me of the good old days in Utah. I see in the news that you are getting dumped on again. I hope you get to stay cozy at home and have a snow day! We're thinking of you and hoping you're enjoying the snow and not having to drive.
