Hello All....
Well it's official-I finally got a job! What a relief!!!!! I was hired with a company called Griffith Center to provide MST services in Denver. I'll be contracted which is nice (I'll get to choose my hours for the most part and the pay is amazing) the only downside is that all of the therapy is provided in home. (I actually haven't ventured to do that yet and the thought terrifies me, so send me your positive experiences and thoughts about outreach (keep the negative ones to yourself) :) The only other downside is that the position does not start until mid Feb. (so I may still be looking for one more temp job to hold me over-you know how Christmas can wipe you out financially!)
Hope everyone else had a good Christmas (ours was very quiet) Thanks to everyone who sent the text messages. I'm thinking about all of you often-I miss you!!! (And I'm totally jealous of Katherine being in Hawaii for so long!!!!) Talk to you soon.

Way to go Megan! Outreach is fabulous! You are going to love it! If you get paid for mileage, you'll especially love that extra check every month.
I had a job for six years where I provided service in the client's home. It's great because you get so much more information seeing them in their element than you do seeing them in your office. There are things people can hide when they're coming to your office that are not so easily hidden when you see them in their home. Plus, the people are usualy more casual and comfortable and open up more easily.
It will be great! You're going to have a good time.

I only saw one client at home, but agree with Margie, so much more information and interaction available, like bedtime schedules, lists on the wall. People are much less inhibited when they're in their own element. Enjoy!!! Especially the good pay. There are lots of jobs available at Greater Lakes, but I'm still not ready to apply, although I'm thinking of making an appointment with Deb before we leave for Mexico. Good luck with the weather, it's freezing, icy and snow on the ground for the next 4-5 days. Welcome home to us from Hawaii...
