The 3rd Annual Halloween par-tay was awesome! It was so nice to catch up with peeps who I don't get to see...all those South Sound folks. Shannon and Mike outdid themselves with the festive decorations and yummy and holiday relevant food : )! Thanks so much for hosting an awesome party, Shan and Mike! And thank goodness, there were no voyeuristic "photo-ops" like last year...We were introduced to Shan and Mike's kitties, so adorable!
Mike and I are off to Sequim this weekend to visit his sis. I am looking forward to spending time with her (and her way cute Weimaraner, Rhino!) Capone is cute and all but sometimes its nice to have such unbridled enthusiasm at all times : ). On another note, I have a feeling November is going to fly by as the weekend after next we are off Virginia and then off to Sequim again for Turkey Day.
My work is picking up considerably, with a wide variety of clients. I'm actually the one sitting in on intern's intakes, crazy huh? Doesn't feel like that long ago when Hannah and I were so nervous doing our intakes : ). Now, I'm splitting my time between Issaquah and Duvall, which are drastically different in demographics and both good experience because of that.
I would love to know what others are up to!! Keep posting!!

Finally working more hours!
Hi everyone,
It's nice to read that everyone is doing well. I always enjoy reading updates on the blog, that is when I remember to check it. The big news is I finally am a full time employee at Good Sam, yeah! Right now I am filling in for a guy who is on vacation but starting next week I will have my own clients again. I am counting down the days because this past week has been an adventure....I will give you the shortest version I can write.
Ok, so, I'm filling in for a person who works for the Extended Community Services dept, his job is to maintain clients in society so they don't relapse and go back to Western or Puget Sound Hospital, so I am to visit them and take them whatever they need or just drive around with them. Last monday, I picked up my first client from his AFH to get his medication shot on the way back to drop him off we got rear-ended by a man who spoke only Spanish and had no insurance (I had to call Margie to get this figured out. Thank you Margie) . The good news is there is no damage on my mom's car (I'm borrowing it because clients can't get into my car).
Tuesday rolls along and I'm sitting at my desk at Good Sam and it starts raining on me in my office, I always wanted a window but didn't need a sky light. I think it is fixed but it hasn't rained lately so it might start again. Wednesday I got a big rock chip in the windshield, and thursday it took me 2 hours to get to work. But friday was good, I took the bus into Seattle for my UW class and met lots of new people, too bad I probably won't see them again. So far this week I have sent one man to involuntary placement for not taking his medication and have another client who thinks I am moving her to her imaginary fiance's house....I think things are looking up :-)
The Halloween party is slowly getting planned....Mike and I have been buying really cool decorations, I hope you all like them. He is really into the party, which is nice because I am going to make him carve the pumpkins so then I don't get all messy.
As for the kittens they are growing like weeds but are finally considered healthy and no longer do we have to visit the vet once a week. Although, they have no manners and find it fun to get pushed off the counters and table. They also find it fun to wake me up in the morning by pulling on my hair and kicking my face, it is quite and enjoyable way to wake up :-)
As for now that's all the excitement from the Redmond end of the world. Hope your all doing well.
I hope the South Sounders had a good lunch, sorry I missed it....darn clients getting in the way of my socializing :-) Next month is at Gateway to India on Nov. 12th, anyone who can make it is invited to attend.
Happy Birthday Christopher! Susanne you throw a great party, hope you guys are enjoying those cupcakes.
Jaime I hope your new job is treating you well, I miss seeing you at Good Sam.
Jason, Katherine, and Kellee have fun at the conference.
Happy October!

Hi All,
It's October....so soon...and feels like Fall is really here!! I'm going to the AAMFT Conference in Long Beach next week, and it's going to be in the 70's...yeah!!! Saw Jason, Alisha, Lindsay and a co-worker from Greater Lakes (Brad) at Cheryl's party Friday...missed Susanne and Christopher, darn. Did anyone else go? Food was good, Cheryl was cute, David was sweet...I told him I saw him get emotional...what was that about, David?? Roy and Cheryl are both getting awards at the Conference. Guess I might have to spring for the dinner.
I am still making baby steps toward establishing a practice. Jason and I might have a lead on office space in December, and if not that, perhaps I will find another space to share. Working on a name/concept, then get the business license, cards, website, etc. I got the forms from AAMFT, insurance through the AAMFT website, have talked to a supervisor, but haven't started yet, as I don't have clients.
Bob and I went to Montana for an old friend's birthday, actually combined with her mother's 90th birthday. It was at a hot springs resort, 4 large hot pools...very civilized, not at all rustic. We took a scenic side-trip on the way home and ended up on 35 miles of dirt road along a large creek/river, saw a moose, lots of fly-fishermen, snow in the hills, just beautiful. Bob got some great photos, but then his computer crashed, so he's lost about 4 years of photos, plus all his investment spreadsheets. He is bummed!! Still trying to get data off the hard-drive.
Still taking Spanish, and loving it. Also doing another Indian lodge class with Grandmother. Working a few catering jobs in Seattle for my friend who has a catering business..The Savory Gourmet. Reading, watching "The War" on PBS, plus all my favorite prime time soaps, making jewelry, knitting.
Hope all goes well.
Have fun in Virginia, Janett.
Megan, what's up?
Glad Susanne is feeling better.
Mitch and Deanna are expecting a girl...what else can I blab about?
I'm glad Margie is back in Washington so she can enjoy all this rain!
