I'm headed to Seattle!!

Hello All!!
So I've tried to keep you all updated. Matt and I will be in town Wed June 13th through that Sun. We have stuff planned with his family but it sounds like thursday day and night are wide open to catch up with everyone so let me know if you're available. Maybe we can all meet for lunch/drinks somewhere convenient for everyone (sounds like everyone is more spread out now than when I left.) Suse-I REFUSE to leave without meeting Christopher so let's work it out-I know right where you are so we can even just hang out in Steilacoom...I really am up for anything I just REALLY REALLY need a good does of chit chatting with girlfriends-I cannot explain how much I miss that. I love you all...I can;t wait to see you!

Hi from Mountlake Terrace!

I'm still here Megan, thank you for your faithful posts! I too have been reading Susanne's blog, but have been very lazy about posting here! I'm looking forward to seeing you Suseanne and meeting the very handsome Christopher at the next south sound luncheon, thank you Shannon for planning it on a Monday so I can join in! I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the lunch very soon!
Life in Mountlake Terrace has been treating me very well. Next month I will be at my job for one year... I can't believe it has been that long! I was recently promoted and offered a salary position. I am enjoying the added responsibilty and am on track for licensure in hopefully another year.
I also have been very busy the last few months spending weekends with my parents, my dad had brain surgery a few months ago to remove a tumor that had been growing for the last ten years. We won't know for a few more weeks if the tumor is completely gone. If it is not gone, he will most likely begin radiation treatment. The surgeons were amazing, and God truely blessed my family as my dad is back to his old schedule, working and enjoying life. I am getting used to spending weekends at my place again, so if you are in the area, we should make some plans!
Jeff (Mr. Rhode Island) and I are still together. He is just about finished with his academy which means we can begin to plan a trip to see each other again. I haven't seen him since he was out here for my birthday... way too long! I wish everyone could meet him, I think you would love his accent. :o)
Well, I just wanted to put a quick update on the blog. I too have become very bad about keeping in touch, but I do think about everyone often!! I miss you all!
Always,
Crystal

Anyone out there?

Well hello to everyone (anyone) who is still checking in.
I must admit, I haven't checked into this blog in awhile-I've been too busy staring at all the baby pictures Suse posts on her blog-I actually forgot all of my information to get onto this website, so after multiple attempts with my rotation of passwords-I made it! I was super excited to see a new post from Katherine-brought a smile to my face. PLEASE post if you're checking in-I really miss hearing what is going on with everyone and I feel so far away it's unbelievable. I have been awful (despite my promises) to call and check in with all of you-I know I have missed a bunch of birthdays for Shannon, Janet, and others....I apologize-Happy Belated!! I'm sure I missed a good time! I won't promise any more, but I will do my best to actually just deliver and try to stay in touch with everyone. I feel very disconnected from all fo you, and I do not feel comfortable with that-I want to maintain all of the friendships we formed.

As far as updates from our neck of the Rockies....not too much is new. I am full swing into my job, and while I still believe I made the best decision to accept it, I am still feeling unsatisfied and wanting to do more. I feel like I am doing a lot of soul searching and trying to figure out where to go from here. At least I am in a good position to be secure financially while deciding where to go from here. Matt accepted a new position with Opus-a contractor and developer downtown. He is so excited-less of a commute and a great opportunity for advancement.

Other than careers, we have been loving Colorado and exploring as much as possible. We spent last weekend in Steamboat Springs, CO. All of the snow is melted, and they call it the "mud season" right now...it was deserted, but what an amazing town-we just felt so relaxed and Matt just told me that he reserved a room up there for my birthday so I'm excited to go back.

Our plans to come up to Seattle are all set-we are getting into town on Wed June 13th and then leaving that Sunday. We are going up to see his sister's graduation, but we planned to have enough time to see everyone-I know you all may be busy as well, but I would love to meet up for lunch and I'm sure we'll plan at least one night to go out with Matt's and my friends....so try to put aside some time that weekend-too bad we wont have our old deck to BBQ on.....

I would post some pictures, but I haven't gotten them into my computer yet-so maybe next post. Thank you Katherine for keeping this going. I miss all of you and I look forward to seeing you soon!!

Love,
Megan

Hi all

Well, I'm still too scattered from the travel this winter to sit and put pictures on, but one of these days I will. It will be fun to select some good ones and remember how much we enjoyed being in warm weather all winter. Thank goodness we are getting a taste of Spring now.

I have decided (I think) to do private practice. The process of applying for jobs is too anxiety-making for me, and I'm not sure I'm ready for the grueling pace of agency work, even though I wanted to bust out those 500 more client hours. What's the rush?? I'll be sitting down anyway!! It's just in the very beginning formulation in my mind, but thanks to Jason and my therapist, I've been able to change my vision of the future and can see myself in a room, talking with clients, working on solutions, and possibilities for healing. I actually feel positive about it, too. I guess that's a good first step.

Other than that, I'm getting ready for a 1/2 marathon walking in the Virginia Mason Cancer Walk in July, so if you're driving around Tacoma, you might see me walking, adding more miles every week. Also working on some new jewelry ideas, so if the practice doesn't take off...well, I might be stuck making beautiful things at home!! Also reading, for fun and for learning. Going to Las Vegas in June to see my nephew's recent film in the Vegas Film Festival, plus visiting the grandkids and friends along the way. Hope I don't miss Megan and Matt's visit.
